Short version: we take safety seriously, we take parents’ sanity seriously, and we take our intellectual property seriously. If you’re here because you’re curious, welcome. If you’re here because you want to clone our stuff… maybe don’t.
The KidLockGo strap-and-lock system, including its hinge-side routing, adjustable strap path, and hardware configuration, is protected by intellectual property rights and is the subject of patent protection (patent pending) in the United States.
In normal human language: the way the strap is routed through the hinge-side gap, how it anchors, how it tightens, and how it’s designed to work on cabinets, doors, and similar surfaces is not a random accident. It’s a protected design.
We reserve the right to pursue additional U.S. and international filings as the product line grows (KidLockGo, PetLockGo, TravelLockGo, DoorLockGo, etc.).

Our visual branding – including color combinations, packaging layouts, and key phrases used in marketing (“like a seatbelt for your cabinets,” etc.) – is also part of our brand identity. Please don’t “borrow” it. That’s not borrowing, that’s just… stealing with extra steps.
We love that you love the product. You are absolutely encouraged to:

Parents aren’t buying “a strap.” They’re buying safety, predictability, and a little bit of peace in a very loud season of life. Protecting the design and brand means we can keep investing in:
So yes, the legal stuff is important – but the heart of it is simple: we want fewer “oh no” moments and more “they didn’t get in that?!” moments.
If you have questions about how our IP applies to something you’re building, ask us before you ship it. It’s way more fun to talk as potential partners than as lawyers.
